Small scents

I’ve just closed a small photo exhibition comprising five of my images.

The Red Shoes

We went to see the wonderful Powell and Pressburger film “The Red Shoes” a few days ago.

Filmed in the year of my birth, it was showing at the Pavilion Theatre film club in Hailsham, not too many miles from where we live. It tells the story of a young ballerina, torn between her love of dancing and her love for a man – the composer of the ballet from which the film gets its name.

There’s a famous seaside place …

… called Blackpool, that’s noted for fresh air and fun.

So said Stanley Holloway. This is Blackpool’s famous seaside, the Pleasure Beach, taken on a winter’s morning from the end of Southport pier.
